This was an article basicly stating that the reason for the Mexican border controll is to eliminate the possibility of al qaede getting in to our country. Well it may be a good safty precaution but I think that it is a cop out. We need border controll because illeagle immigrantsare a strain on our society and I believe that our countries resources should be for our tax payers and our tax payers alone. It has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that most immigrants are hispanic. I feel the same way about any other culture, it just happens that most illeagle immigrants are hispanic. We ned the border controll to ensure the safty of our country financially and as a matter of national security. I do think that it is odd that the majority of people against the policy is the hispanic race. They as Americans should be worried about the strain on us, but they seem to be more worried about not being able too get more people over here, and sending the illeagles back. Something just does not add up to me.

Psychological Harassment
Harassment in the workplace, it dosent just mean sexual harassment. Psychological Harassment is also a vey important and an often over looked issue in the workplace. It includes but is not limited to deliberatley sabotageing someones work, trying to make them look incompetent, attacks on the persons reputation, by rumors concerning their private lives and their acts at work. This is a problem not only for employees, but their employer. Harassment can cause employees to do poor work, more absences, and personal lives are also effected and may need counciling. This obiously effects the employer due to overtime cost, and health insurance claims, loss of loyality, and even a high turnover rate. I have experienced psychological harassment in the work place. I am actually going through it right now. This girl I work with is making my work place a living hell. She is constantly trying to get me into trouble, making up lies and elling people that i am saying bad things about them. It has gotten to the point where i am going to quit my job. This would not be such a huge deal but it has effected my relationships with my other coworkers. Everyone is treating me badly. They ignore me, do things together and dont invite me and take no precautions to keep it a secret. They talk bad about me and they know I can hear them. They talk about my clothes, car, hair, everything and anything to hurt me. The sad thing is that I could get these people fired because I have so much dirt on them, but I can not bring my self to do it. It would also get people into trouble that are not harassing me. I generally dont care about these people but they are effecting my work and my relationships with other people that I do care about. My best friend works with me and she will barely talkto me becausse of something that Jami said to her. But how do you prove your innocence? The more I try to get her to believe me the more she thinks I am lying. I am at a loss I do not know what to do. So I made a print out of this article and highlighted some key points and sent it to my manager. I made only one request and that was to put the information out to all the employees and make it known that it is not okay to do this and it would not be tolerated. I hope that it is enough to make it stop.

This Saturday, the 29th, I am going to be working at the Humane Society Fundraiser. It will be at the Eagles Club here in Grand Island. There will be food, music, things to buy and alot of Grand Islands special people. Brad director of the Humane Society will also be attending. He is a loving man who has been involved in our Wednesday Group out at Mid Nebraska Individual Services. The Wednesday group is a group of our individuals who spent the year raising money for the Humane Society. They had fundraising dinners out at the workshop and also sold crafts for the holidays. So come on out to the Eagles Club on Saturday and help support the Humane Society.

I am finally done with giving speeches this year! What a relief! I enjoy writing papers, I just do not like giving them in speech form. I did my last speech on The Loch Ness Monster. I should have been more prepared. It was not the best. I am not a public speaker. I think that I have trouble giving speeches because I know that I am being graded on the correct use of outlines and sources. And that makes me so nervous, because I struggle with those. Then I start to get choppy, lose my train of thought and the little confidence that I came in with. Then I blow it and look like an idoit in front of my classmates. But does it really matter? To me it does. When I brought it up to my classmates the common answer was not to worry about it because we are graded by our classmates and your guarenteed a good grade. I did a speech and I thought I deserved nothing over a D grade. But when I got my grade sheet back I got a ninty one percent. I am hopeful that i will be able to pass the class, because I did learn a hell of alot. I do have a little more confidence that when I go on to other classes and have to give presentations or write papers I will be able to meet their requirements.

Trying to be Cute Will Often Cost You With Customers

This is another great article. People who think that they are being cute drive me crazy. If you do not know someone then you should probably keep your opinions to yourself. You do not know if somthing is going to offend someone or not. For example, when I was in highschool, the cool thing to say to people after they made a commit to you was "Your Mom." There was this girl who said somthing to a boy and he replied "Your Mom." Everyone laughed, except Thea. She turned to him and said "My moms dead." He did not know what to say to her, and he turned out to be an ass. So next time you think you are being cute think twice.

Heard it Through the Work Grapevine

At my job people gossip. The majority of the employees are women. But when it comes to women, jealousy and cruelty come hand in hand. Like the article says, you must consider the source. It may be someone streching the truth, taking things out of context, or just trying to start problems. This is a recent occurrence for me. This girl,( and I mean girl), at work acts like it is her job to make my life hell. If I say im frusterated, it means I am pissed at someone, if I look tired then I was out drinking all night. She takes everything I say and turns it against me. It has hurt me directly and indirectly. She has made me look bad too many times, and has almost ruined alot of my friendships. I try and make it a habbit to not talk to her, but then I get into trouble for being rude and unfriendly. It is a lose, lose, situation. And that is why I am despertly searching for a new employer.

Keep your voicemails short and Sweet.

This in my opinion is a very good article. There is a man who calls my home at least once a week telling me that i have won some new satalite system. He pronounces my name wrong and does not tell me what company he works for or what his full name is. He does not even leave a call back number. The voicemail is very long and annoying. I think the very best way for a business owner to get you tocall back is to identify yourself and oyur business, leave a short to the point message, and a phone number. That, to me is professional and dosent leave you sounding like a telemarketer.

The Warped Tour 06'

This years Warped Tour Is going to be great! I will attend the July 23rd show in Denver at Mile High Stadium. There will be many Bands and alot of stuff to do. Some of my favorite bands will be there. There will be AFI, Strech Armstrong, Thursday, Zebra Head, Aiden, Bullet for my Valentine, NOFX, Silverstein, Motion City Soundtrack, Rise Against and many many more. It will be a great time. If you like any of thesse bands I suggest that you make the trip and go. It is never more than fifty bucks and you get to see so many bands!!!!!

I went to the Nebraska Access page yesterday and found it very helpful. I Used many of the search engines to find information on Tim Burton, Hunter S. Thompson, and on the special Olympics. For the authors I used the Biography search engine. I found that at least five links came up for Tim Burton, and just as many for Hunter S. Thompson. And if you use the First Search, search engine it will help you find more links, books and articles related to your search.

My stepdad is helping bring Billy Falcon and Rose Falcon to Grafton Nebraska on May 28th for a concert. This is gunna be really cool!!!

I watch alot of the National Geographic channel. But sometimes it freaks me out. I was watching the program on Super volcanos and it scared the hell out of me. There is a super volcano in Yellowstone National Park and when it blows it willl kill us all. It is very active but it is under ground and many times bigger than volcanos on the earths surface. If you are not close enough to be killed by the blast or lava flow then you are more than likley going to suffocate by all the ash that was kicked up in the air from the blast or be burried alive by the amount if ash that litters the ground. The ash is really just volcanic rock blown to tiny peices and is more like tiny shards of glass. It is a very painful death. It gets into your lungs and eventually they get filled up and you suffocate. It you are even further away ypu will survive longer but will more than likley die of starvation due to the blocking out of the sun. It will cool the earth and kill almost every thing on it. Which leads me to Global Warming. The green house effect is going to lead us in to the next Ice Age. But I will get in to that later.

I had an awesome time in Chicago. We went shopping almost every single day, and went and saw some interesting tourist attractions. We spent a whole day in China Town walking the streets and going in to all the little shops. The only thing that was bad about China Town was that after a while all the shops start to look the same. We visited the House Of Blues where George Clinton and The Funk were playing, and we visited Wrigley Stadium. The week we were there was also St. Patricks Day, so they had parades and they dyed the river green. After Five days in Chi-town we were headded back to the airport and we blew a tire on the express way. On a bridge no less. We missed our flight and ended up on the next one. Over all it was a great trip. No fights and no real drama. Traveling with boys is the only way to go.

So I am in Chicago for spring break. My friend Paul and I arrived at eight this morning. It was my first big plane ride. It kinda made me sick. It was a very small plane. I am here visiting my friend Angela. We plan on going out to the shops down town. It is nice having people not knowing who you are and where you come from because you can do what ever you want to and these people will never see you again. They knownothing about you

This weekend was an exciting one. Twelve of my friends and I went to Lincoln to attend the Nine Inch Nails concert on Friday. It was an awesome concert and an eventfull one. On the way to the concert we parked in a parking garage. We had to park on the 6th level. It was freezing out that night and we were in a hurry. On the way down we decided to take the elevator to the ground floor. When we got to the elevator there was a non smoking sign, and I told my friends to put out their cigarettes. We went in to the elevator room and there were people smoking in the room. One of my friends was complaining that she could have still smoked because everyone else was. All of the sudden the smoke alarms started to go off. At that point the elevators shut down and the people inside the elevators were stuck. We ended up taking the stairs and as we crossed the street the fire engines showed up to get the people out. And besides having a very large sweaty fat man in front of methe entire concert it was a great show.
